I am a current supplier to an AIG member company and I received a request asking me to fill out the online supplier registration profile. What happens after I fill out the form?
Your information will be entered into our supplier database. Your company will remain in the database for a two-year period, after which, you will be contacted to update and revalidate your information.
How do I find out if my company has already been registered?
Send us an e-mail with your company name and D-U-N-S number to globalsourcing@aig.com. We will cross check our supplier registration database using the D-U-N-S numbers. We will notify you if we have a profile on file for your company. Should you submit a duplicate profile, we will notify you via e-mail.
How do I update my information?
Please send an e-mail fully describing the change in your information and send it to globalsourcing@aig.com. We will update the information within the database.
What happens after I register my company with AIG?
You will receive an e-mail notification that your information has been received by Global Sourcing and has been entered into our supplier database. Your information will be available to our Sourcing Teams for future reference as they source new commodities.
How is the supplier database used by AIG?
When a sourcing opportunity arises, our sourcing teams will typically use the database to search for potential suppliers according to the commodity they are sourcing. They may also use the database to search for suppliers in a particular geographic region, Standard Industry Code, MWBEs, etc.
How can I contact someone about sourcing opportunities?
Please send us an e-mail at globalsourcing@aig.com. We will ensure that your inquiry is forwarded to the appropriate commodity specialist who will respond to your questions.
