Michael Cowan
Michael Cowan is Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer for American International Group, Inc. In this role, Mr. Cowan has responsibility for AIG's operations and systems, internal audit, real estate, sourcing and purchasing services, security, corporate services, the Enterprise Program Office and the divestiture separation team.
Mr. Cowan joined AIG in January 2010 from Merrill Lynch, where he served as Senior Vice President, Global Corporate Services, since 1998. He began his career at Merrill Lynch in 1986 in Finance and later served as Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Executive Management Committee for the Global Private Client business, including Merrill Lynch Asset Management. He also served as Chief Administrative Officer for Europe, the Middle East and Africa based in London and during that period served on the Board of Euroclear.
Mr. Cowan is a CPA. He received a BBA in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame.
