
Henri Courpron joined International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) as Chief Executive Officer in May 2010. Since joining ILFC, Mr. Courpron has lead a series of initiatives strengthening the company's financial position and undertaking a broad strategic review of its capabilities and assets so as to increase customer and market responsiveness on a global basis.
Prior to joining ILFC, Henri Courpron was the President of the Aerospace Division and Regional Head for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Seabury Aviation & Aerospace.
Prior to Seabury, Mr. Courpron was with Airbus for 20 years, where he was most notably Executive Vice President, Procurement at Airbus headquarters in Toulouse, France and CEO of Airbus North America based in Virginia (USA) for many years where he supervised all sales, marketing, contracts and communications activities of Airbus in North America.
Since July 2005, he was responsible for all procurement across the entire Airbus organization, of managing all supplier relations, and ensuring timely delivery of all purchased goods on-cost and with the proper quality. He also was a member of the Airbus Executive Committee. Before that, he was President and CEO of Airbus North America (ANA).
Mr. Courpron began his professional career with Aérospatiale (now EADS) in 1987 before joining Airbus as a Contracts Manager, a role which he retained until he was appointed as Director Contracts of Airbus Industrie North America (AINA) in 1992. Two years later he was promoted to AINA's Vice President Contracts before assuming the position of the company's Vice President-Sales in 1996. Mr. Courpron was appointed as AINA's Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing in 1998, and President and Chief Operating Officer of the company two years later. In this position, which he kept when the company became Airbus North America, he supervised all sales, marketing, contracts and communications activities of Airbus staff with customers in North America.
Mr. Courpron was born in Lyon, France in 1963. He graduated in 1985 with a Masters degree in computer science from Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Electrotechnique d'Electronique d'Informatique et d'Hydraulique (ENSEEIHT) in Toulouse, where he specialized in artificial intelligence.
