Bruce Abrams
Bruce Abrams is President and Chief Executive Officer of Western National Life and VALIC, and President, Fixed Annuities and Group Retirement, SunAmerica Financial Group.
Mr. Abrams joined Western National Life in 1994. He was promoted to Executive Vice President in 1997 to manage the financial institutions channel. Mr. Abrams served as President and Chief Marketing Officer before being named President and Chief Executive Officer in 2002. In 2004, he assumed expanded responsibilities when he was elected President and Chief Executive Officer of VALIC, and in 2012 he was named President, Fixed Annuities and Group Retirement of SunAmerica Financial Group. Mr. Abrams joined Western National Life from Ford Life Insurance Company, a subsidiary of Ford Motor Company, where he served as Executive Vice President, Interest Sensitive Products. Prior to establishing the Ford annuity program, he was Manager of Financial Analysis at Life and Property and Casualty Ford Insurance Group.
Mr. Abrams received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Western Michigan University and holds FINRA Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses.
